it's kind of weak to say: i turned out this way coz of my parents.

well you are aware that you are 'this' way, ur obviously bothered by it, then change it.

in my family, if something isn't right, you make it right. if that means you need to do a little hard mental work, so be it

Have you ever thought of backhanding your mother into tomorrow, then waiting a day to catch up with her, at which point you would say "That's for RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing me up, bitch" ?

But seriously, they have psychiatrists for a reason mate. And I think your mum should've taken you to one a while ago.

I went to one when I was a kid. It helped me some at the time because I was making bad grades in school. I actually turned out pretty good as an adult considering. I have a good job, family, and friends that I created with my own hard work and caring. It's not as easy as backhanding your mother into tomorrow as you so eloquently put it.

I have changed many aspects of my life for the better. It's not as easy as doing some mental work to make your problems go away. You can't run from your past. I've confronted my mother about my feelings in the past and it got me nowhere because she feels she didn't do anything wrong and that I'm just to sensitive. Its nice that you have a caring family that helps you emotionally, not everyone is so lucky.

My mother would give me money and buy me nice stuff when I was a kid because I honestly think she felt guilty and couldn't think of any other way to fix her mistakes.
